Questions Asked and Answered

I get quite a few people visiting this blog after doing searches for specific information.  I thought I would answer some of those questions as we begin to close out 2019 and gear up for 2020.

Where can I get the candy cane scarf worn in “Sense, Sensibility and Snowmen?”

Answer:  I looked in a few places, and while there ARE candy cane scarves, I cannot find the exact one used in the movie.  But for a close approximate scarf, you can find one on Amazon. The quality is not the same as the one Erin Krakow wore, but it is the same kind of striping pattern.  And based on the pictures at Amazon (click on the picture to go to the listing), it is a pretty long scarf.  So it may fit the bill even though it’s not a perfect match.  I suspect the one Krakow wears is very expensive and very hard to obtain at this point.

Was the house in Holiday Hearts used in another Hallmark movie?

Answer:  If by “house” you mean the inn that the Canaday family ran, the answer is yes.  As I stated in my review, that same inn was used for the “Wedding March” Hallmark movies starring Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett.  If you mean the house that the little girl lived in, I don’t recall seeing it, and doing a quick search online I didn’t find anything that immediately popped out, but I’ll keep looking and report back!

Is the song ‘When Angels Land’ from the Kristin Chenoweth movie, “A Christmas Love Story” available for download?

Answer: Sadly, the answer appears to be no.  They do have the soundtrack available on Amazon, but that particular song is NOT on the soundtrack, so buyer beware.  I have no idea why they would release a soundtrack and NOT put the most important song on there.  The only thing I can think is that she plans to put out a Christmas album of her own in the future, and include that song (which she wrote).

What are Hallmark’s key seasons?

Answer:  The year kicks off with Winterfest, which features movies set in the cold snowy winter.  This is followed by Unconditional Love (February), and Spring Fever, which typically starts in March and April.  This leads the way for June Weddings month, at which point it’s times for Christmas in July when we get a couple new Christmas movie previews as well as reruns of all our favorites.

Then in August we cap off the summer with Summer Nights.  September kind of balances between the last of the summer movies and Fall Harvest, which kicks into high gear in October.  In 2019 the Christmas movies started the last weekend in October, which means that once Fall Harvest is over, it’s time for Countdown to Christmas!  I may have missed a couple themed timeframes, but those are the main ones throughout the year.

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.

    1. The soundtrack is out, and available using the link I provided in my post. However, it does NOT include “When Angels Land,” which apparently was never released as a single.
