Favorite Hallmark Podcasts I Recommend

In this post I’m going to share my favorite Hallmark podcasts to listen to.  I’m a regular podcast listener and over this past year have discovered some really fun Hallmark-specific podcasts that I want to recommend to you.  If you don’t listen to podcasts at all, or are not sure what they are, they are very similar to talk radio.  There are literally millions of podcasts to listen to (including mine).  Some are fantastic, and others are clearly some dude sitting in his basement rambling about whatever comes to mind.

Podcasts are free to listen to, and can be listened to on various platforms.  You can download an app onto your smartphone (such as Castbox (what I use), Stitcher, Podbean, Audioboom, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts (formerly iTunes), just to name a few).  You can also listen on radio apps such as Spotify and iHeartRadio.  Lastly, you can follow podcasts on their Facebook pages and use any links they post to listen directly on your computer or tablet as well.  Basically, it is very easy to find and listen to podcasts!

Without further ado, here are my Top 3 favorite Hallmark podcasts that I listen to:

Hallmark Channel’s Bubbly Sesh

Recently acquired to become the official podcasters of the Hallmark Channel, Jacks and Shawl review the movies as Monday morning quarterbacks, and interview many of the stars of the movies as well.  They tend to be overly effusive about the movies, but that’s probably the main reason they were picked from the herd to become Hallmark’s official podcast!  Jacks and Shawl clearly LOVE and ADORE Hallmark movies, and anyone that watched “Love, Fall and Order” saw them as the leaders of the Leaf Peeper tours throughout that movie!  It’s a fun podcast to listen to, even if they tend to avoid criticising obvious plot holes or issues with movies.  Still, for any Hallmark movie fan, this podcast is kind of a “must listen.”

Deck the Hallmark

These guys.  THESE GUYS!  This is my favorite of all the Hallmark podcasts that I listen to.  Bran, Panda and Dan are three guys that watch and review all the movies.  Bran loves Hallmark movies.  Panda likes them.  Grumpy Dan despises them.  And what follows in each episode is pure comedy gold.  These guys get it – they know that the movies are not seeking to be Citizen Kane, that they are filling a gap in moviemaking, and that the fans are diehards. But they still don’t hesitate to criticize the movies (and in Grumpy Dan’s case he eviscerates) while also still loving them.  They have built quite a cult following of their own and have been on “Good Morning America” several times over the past year.  Hallstars now regularly come on for interviews, and it’s just a FUN FUN FUN podcast.

Hallmarkies Podcast

Rachel and her motley crew talk about ALL things Hallmark – not just the movies from both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, but the tv shows as well.  They also regularly interview Hallmark folks (actors, authors, you name it!) and occasionally post non-Hallmark episodes about other movies or TV that they enjoy.  These ladies obviously love to get together and talk Hallmark, and they rightfully have a huge following even though the podcast only started in 2017.   I don’t listen to every episode they put out (since I don’t watch the tv shows they chat about), but the ones I have listened to have all been enjoyable and full of information.  Rachel has gathered a good bunch of co-hosts that are also active on Twitter (I follow them all).

The Friday Five Podcast with Lori & Jane

Lastly, while my own podcast is not Hallmark-centric every week, my co-host and I did release an episode just today (Episode 10) that is dedicated to our favorite Hallmark movies of all time.  And it’s highly likely we’ll be doing more episodes that feature Hallmark movies, since we both love them.  Feel free to give that episode a listen, and if you like it, perhaps subscribe and listen to our other episodes as well!  We’re a new podcast that just started in September and we’d love to have more people listen!

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.
