Did y’all enjoy the first weekend of new Christmas movies? Well, I hope you are girding your loins because this weekend we have FOUR new movies! Yep, FOUR! I’ll be posting previews of all four episodes this week. They will be posted a little bit out of order (I’m hoping two feature a surprise guest later in the week to talk about one of the movies airing this weekend), but I’ll still provide the air dates so you can set your Tivos accordingly!
This Friday, November 1, at 9 p.m. ET, prepare to sit and enjoy my second favorite Hallmark couple of all time. Kris Polaha and Jill Wagner will always be my #1, but a very close second is Nikki DeLoach and Michael Rady. These two were divine together in Love to the Rescue earlier this year, and I’m so glad they are reuniting for a Christmas movie this week. The bonus is that “Two Turtle Doves” was also written by the same author of “Rescue,” Sarah Montana. Hallmark knows that Rescue is a popular movie – it re-airs frequently, so if you ever see it on the schedule, and you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend you DVR it. You won’t regret it. There are so many things I love about that movie. I love it so much I wish that Hallmark would release it on DVD so I can buy it. I’ll have to settle for keeping it on my Tivo for all eternity instead, I suppose.
Now, as for “Two Turtle Doves,” here is the plot, from the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries website::
Dr. Sharon Hayes (DeLoach) searches for a beloved family heirloom in a small Christmas town. When she unexpectedly discovers an adorable little girl and her disheartened father (Rady), she realizes that Christmas miracles really do happen.
Since the movie is part of Miracles of Christmas, it will likely be a bit more serious than a typical Hallmark movie, but I’m sure it’ll be fabulous simply because of the trio of people I mentioned that are involved in this movie. I have VERY high hopes for this one! Here’s a preview:
It is WEIRD seeing Michael Rady without a beard. He had a beard in “Christmas in Homestead” and again in “Christmas in Pemberley Manor,” as well as “Rescue.” I like him in the beard. Having it go missing for this movie – I don’t know if I like it. *lol* I don’t know – the beard made him seem…older, I guess? But not in a “he’s way too old for her” way. He has such a babyface, that I think the beard gives his appearance more character. I hope he grows it back for his next movie.
What about you? Is this one you are looking forward to seeing? Comment below!
