There is one more brand new movie I need to preview for this weekend! “Our Christmas Love Story” airs tonight (Sun, Nov 24) at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel. Alicia Witt is a beloved Hallmark channel staple at this point, so I’m sure this movie will be a fan favorite. Her co-star is Brendan Hines has a long resume of work (TV shows such as “Suits,” “Scorpion” and “Scandal” just to name the few that begin with S), but this is his first Hallmark movie.
I have to admit that I am not much of an Alicia Witt fan. There’s just something about her acting style that gets on my nerves. And yet despite this, a couple of her movies are ones that I faithfully watch each and every year (“A Very Merry Mixup” and “The Mistletoe Inn”). As such, I have no idea if I’ll love tonight’s movie or not.

When country star Melody Jones is accused of plagiarizing her holiday single, she returns home to spend Christmas with her estranged family and old flame and learns what is important in life.

I’m going into the movie with an open mind, and hope that my anti-Alicia Witt bias will not affect the enjoyment of the movie. I know next to nothing about Brendan Hines, so I’m curious to see how he works out.
