A Preview of “Merry & Bright”

It’s Thursday – which means Nostalgic Christmas is on tonight.  If you are going to be trick or treating and worry you may miss the beginning, be sure to set your DVR!

Today is our last preview post for this weekend movies.  On Saturday, November 2 at 8 p.m., “Merry & Bright” is airing on the Hallmark Channel. It stars a couple fan favorites in Jodie Sweetin and Andrew Walker.  Andrew Walker is always fun to watch and has been in several movies that I really like.  Jodie Sweetin originally starred in ABC’s “Full House” back in the 1990s and has started popping up in Hallmark movies over the past few years.   This year she starred in “Love Under the Rainbow” which is one of my most popular reviews in 2019.  People clearly LOVE that movie.

This movie’s plot follows a typical Hallmark trope (small business in trouble and Big Evil Corporation comes in to buy/close said small business).  Here is the plot, as outlined from the Hallmark Channel website:

Cate (Sweetin) meets Gabe (Walker) during the busy Christmas season. She assumes Gabe is the suitor her well-meaning mother is trying to set her up with when in reality, he works for a company which has been hired to streamline her company’s operation. As Cate and Gabe begin to work together, they find they have more in common than savvy business sense.

Even though the plot has been done many times before, I’m still looking forward to this one because I like Andrew Walker.  Here’s a preview:

You know what?  I wish they’d let Jodie Sweetin have more natural looking hair.  Did you notice that in every shot in that preview her hair looks teased and hairsprayed to within an inch of her life?  They do that to her in a lot of her Hallmark movies, and it drives me crazy.

Anyway, I digress.  Is this one you are looking forward to? Comment below!

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.
