A Preview of “Love in the Forecast”

First let me say that I know we’ve had a lack of movies recently, AND that I’ve been kind of absent on the site.  In fact, I did not review the last two original movies that Hallmark aired (“Nature of Love” and “How to Train Your Husband”), but the fact is – I didn’t care for those movies very much, so I didn’t feel the need to review them.

However, this weekend we have another new movie!  “Love in the Forecast,” debuts this Saturday evening, June 13 at 9 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel.  Interestingly, it was originally called “When it Rains It Pours.”

This movie stars Hallmark regulars, Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell.  The movie was written by Barbara Kymlicka, who has been writing Hallmark and Lifetime movies for almost a decade.  She has penned some of my faves (Lifetime’s “Poinsettias for Christmas”), as well as some that I’ve disliked intensely (I’m looking at you “A Cheerful Christmas”).  As such, I have no idea if I’m excited or dreading this new movie.  Directing this time out is Christie Will Wolf, who has helmed several movies for the network as well, including this year’s A Valentine’s Match.

Here is the plot of “Love in the Forecast,” according to Hallmark Channel:

After swearing off dating for a full year, Leah quickly learns her new commitment has made her a magnet for men.

Okay, a nice concise plot. *lol* I hope this a good movie.  The drought of new movies is finally coming to and end, and I hope the floodgates are open and good movies coming down the chute.  I fear it’ll be a disappointing trickle of mediocrity, which would make me very sad.  I hope they prove my fears wrong.

And here’s a sneak peek clip of what we can expect on Saturday night:

What do you think?  Are you excited about “Love in the Forecast?”

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.

  1. I enjoyed ‘Love in the Forecast’. But what I would really like to know, is who sings the song that is played at the end of the movie? I love it and would like to purchase it. Any ideas?

    1. I don’t have that one saved on my Tivo, so I’ll record it next time it is on (which happens to be next week) and let you know if I can find out who it is!

    1. Sadly, I’ve been unable to locate the song thus far. I used my phone app to see if it could identify it, with no luck. Then I looked up several portions of the lyrics online to see if I could locate it, with no luck. It appears that this song might have been written specifically for the movie. I’m still working on figuring out who did the song, so stay tuned!

  2. Hi i wonder about the song that is almost in middle of movie, when it was all song and series fof day passes when that song was playing, it start with , “I get everything about you ” does anyone know where can i find this song?
    thanks
