I’ve not made it a secret that I’m a huge Jill Wagner fan. But add Victor Webster to the mix, and I. AM. IN. NO. QUESTIONS. ASKED. As such, I think I’m really going to like this weekend’s final Winterfest movie, which airs Saturday, January 25 at 9 p.m. on Hallmark Channel.
I won’t lie – the plot seems a bit hackneyed (interior designer meets handsome man with adorable child and transforms their lives and their hearts), but the movie is directed by Allan Harmon, who directed one of my Countdown faves, “Holiday Hearts.” It is written by two women who are unfamiliar to me, but they both wrote “A Christmas Arrangement” which aired on another network a couple of years ago (it centered around flower arranging, which I thought was weird but it wasn’t a terrible movie, all things considered).
Here is the plot of “Hearts of Winter,” as outlined from the Hallmark Channel website:
An interior designer brings new life to the house of a widower and his daughter and finds love in the process.
Sounds very much like Jill Wagner’s Countdown movie, “Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses” (which I LOVED) but with the addition of a child in the storyline. But I’m not going to let the repetitiveness of the plot dissuade me! I am excited about this movie because I adore Jill Wagner. And Victor Webster is VERY easy on the eyes.
Here’s a sneak peek clip of what we can expect on Saturday night:
I hope this movie is a good, strong finish to our Winterfest movies. What do you think? Are you excited about “Hearts of Winter?”
