It’s Thursday again – which it’s time for the final Thursday night movie of the Hallmark Christmas season. Going forward, there will be no more Thursday night movies for us to enjoy. I’m sad about that, and I think it’s a very bad decision for Hallmark to compete with ITSELF for viewers on Saturdays and Sundays. I know the viewership on Thursdays and Fridays was not as high as they hoped, but it’s going to be even rougher when viewers are forced to watch one and Tivo the other each weekend.
In any event, “A Christmas Miracle” airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel. It stars Tamera Mowry-Housley and Brooks Darnell in one of the few Hallmark movies featuring true diversity in the cast. This is Mowry-Housley’s first Hallmark movie, and she also acted as an executive producer on the film. Darnell previously popped up in Hallmark’s 2016 movie “All Yours,” which starred Nicollette Sheridan and Dan Payne.
Here is the plot, as outlined from the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Channel website:
Ever-optimistic single mom Emma Sanderson is looking for a Christmas miracle to write about for the lifestyle magazine at which she has landed a temporary job. While following her lead on the story, Emma discovers unexpected romance with a supportive colleague and takes it upon herself to bring about a Christmas miracle for a lonely street musician.
And here’s the preview clip, which includes a short scene from the movie as well:
I think I’m really going to like this movie. The cast looks fantastic (Barry Bostwick plays the troubled musician), the storyline looks like it will make me cry (which is a good thing), and I’m just in the mood for another feel-good Christmas movie tonight.
What do you think?
