A Preview of “You’re Bacon Me Crazy”

I had EXTREME doubts when I read that Hallmark was presenting a movie that included the word BACON in the title.  At the time, I didn’t know it was based on a book, and I didn’t know who was cast in the movie.  Once it was announced that none other than Michael Rady was attached to it, I knew I wouldn’t miss it.  You guys, I adore Michael Rady.

“You’re Bacon Me Crazy,” debuts this Saturday evening, April 4 at 9 p.m. ET on the Hallmark Channel.  It co-stars Natalie Hall, who Hallmarkies will recognize from “A Winter Princess” during 2019’s Winterfest.

The movie title comes from a young adult novel by Susan Nelson.  However, while the book deals with teenagers who have to work together on the same food truck, the movie has taken a different route altogether, pitting competing food truck owners against each other in a competition.  So at that point, can you really say that the movie can be based on the book?  I don’t think so.  But the title appears to have remained intact.

Allan Harmon directs “Bacon,” after directing a whole heap of Hallmark movies over the past few years, including the aforementioned Winter Princess, Love Take Two, and Holiday Hearts.

Here is the plot of “You’re Bacon Me Crazy,” as briefly outlined from the Hallmark Channel website:

Cleo Morelli, an aspiring Portland chef, tries to win a food truck competition while the competition tries to win her heart.

And here’s a sneak peek clip of what we can expect on Saturday night:

What do you think?  Are you excited about “You’re Bacon Me Crazy?”

AS A BONUS:  Check out this delightful interview that the fellas from Deck the Hallmark had with Michael Rady last week.  Rady is awesome and so, so fun (and clearly having a good time talking to the boys).

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.
