A Preview of “Love in Store”

This week is the final Love Ever After movie for 2020, and it’s one that I am SO excited about. “Love in Store,” airs Saturday, February 22 at 9 p.m. on Hallmark Channel.  The movie was written by Joie Botkin, who previously wrote several Hallmark movies, including a few good ones like “Falling For You” and “Miss Christmas.” Unfortunately, she was also responsible for my all-time least favorite Hallmark movie, 2019’s “Love in the Sun.”  I’m choosing to believe that the writing on this one is closer to “Falling” and “Miss” than “Sun.”  *fingers crossed*

The movie stars two really solid actors in Alexandra Breckenridge, who played Jessie on “The Walking Dead” a few seasons ago and currently plays Sophie on “This Is Us.”  Her co-star is none other than Robert Buckley, who most folks know from his stint as Clay on “One Tree Hill.” I confess I did not watch “OTH” but I DID see Lifetime’s “The Christmas Contract” in 2018 (co-starring Hilary Burton) and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it. I also liked him on “iZombie.”  With these two great actors, it leads me to believe that I’ll enjoy this movie a lot.

Here is the plot of “Love in Store,” as outlined from the Hallmark Channel website:

Two rival home shopping hosts are forced together while competing for a promotion. Along the way they find their on-air chemistry kindles an off-air spark.

I don’t recall any other Hallmark movie that involves home shopping networks, can you?

Here’s a sneak peek clip of what we can expect on Saturday night:

What do you think?  Are you excited about “Love in Store?”

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.
