Another Ranking: Fan Favorites Based Solely on HFAS Visitors

I decided to do one last ranking in 2019 of some of the Christmas movies that Hallmark released.  This time around I dug into my visitor statistics to find what were the Top 10 movies that brought people to this site to read my commentary.  The ONLY criteria for creating this list was this: how many visitors each review page have? It resulted in a different list than mine, and I’ll be curious to see if this Top 10 matches the Top 10 when Hallmark does it’s own eventual “fan favorite” countdown marathon that they sometimes do.

10. Sense, Sensibility and Snowmen

9. Christmas Wishes & Mistletoe Kisses

8. Double Holiday

7. Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy

6. Our Christmas Love Song

5. Christmas at the Plaza

4. Holiday for Heroes

3. Holiday Hearts

2. Two Turtle Doves

1. The Christmas Club – this might be a false number one for the Hallmark fan favorites list, since the author of the novella, Barbara Hinske, was kind enough to link to my review on her Facebook page, causing a significant jump in visitors the week after the movie aired.  If you remove the bump from the author’s post, this movie probably ends up in the #2 spot behind Two Turtle Doves.  Those two movies were practically neck and neck for site visitors outside of her link to that review.

Having said that, some actors from this Top 10 have rabid fanbases and surely wanted their movie to be in the #1 spot.  Erin Krakow has the #Hearties, and Ryan Paevey has his #PaeveyPack.  Candace Cameron Bure, Paul Greene, and Lacey Chabert (not to mention my own personal fave, Kris Polaha) also have huge fanbases.  So obviously some fans will seek out commentary more than others.  But I suspect these rankings listed in this post will probably hold up in the long run of fan favorites from this past holiday season.

I remember back in the spring I was surprised that “From Friend to Fiance” brought a huge number of visitors to the site once it aired – but was NOT surprised at all when it landed in first place during the Hallmark marathon a couple months later.  I remember on Twitter people kept trying to guess what would be the top movie, and I knew that “Fiance” would likely reign supreme.

What I love about the Hallmark Channel movies is that everyone’s list of favorites is different.  Throughout the holiday season, it was fun to see people tweet out their various Top 5 faves – and they were all over the place!  No list was the same!  I’ve seen each of the movies listed above pop up as the #1 movie for Hallmark fans.  And that’s the beauty of Hallmark – there’s something out there for all Hallmark movie fans to enjoy!

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.
