A Preview of “Check Inn to Christmas”

I love Rachel Boston, so I’m very much looking forward to “Check Inn to Christmas,” which airs tonight (Tuesday, Nov 26) at 8 p.m. ET on Hallmark Channel. Her co-star is Wes Brown, who has made some lackluster Hallmark movies this year, but I chalk that up to having some iffy co-stars for his last few Hallmark movies.  This time around?  I’m sure his game will be upped by his partnership with Boston in this one.

In a week chock full of Hallmark movie premieres, I think one of two things could happen.  The network dumps all the BEST movies in one week in the hopes that curiosity seekers checking out the programming see the best of what Hallmark offers for their holiday programming.  Or, it’s a week that is so busy with other stuff that they dump the not-that-great movies during the first part of the week knowing that not many people will see them, but the network still gets to brag they released 40 new movies.  I REALLY hope it’s the former.  I’ve only seen the first half of last night’s “A Christmas Duet” but the part I saw was enjoyable, so I have high hopes for a week of really good movies, including tonight’s offering.

Here is the plot of “Check Inn to Christmas,” as outlined from the Hallmark Channel website:

When New York City lawyer Julia Crawley returns to her Rocky Mountain hometown and her family’s lovely inn for the holidays, she finds herself at the center of a generations-old feud with the family that runs the town’s other inn. As the ongoing competition between the two inns escalates, “forbidden” romance blossoms between Julia and Ryan Mason, whose family runs the inn that is her family’s big competitor.

And here’s the preview and sneak peek clip of what we can expect tonight:

I like the forbidden romance between rival families storyline, so I think this will be a fun movie to watch.  It helps that Rachel Boston is one of my favorite Hallstars (I wanted to meet her at the Christmas Con a few weeks ago but her line was always long when I looked at her booth).

What do you think?  Are you excited about “Check Inn to Christmas?”  Are you a fan of Alicia Witt?

I've been a fan of Hallmark movies for as long as I can remember. In 2018 I decided it was finally time to write about it, and thus this website was born.
